Checks on social and welfare benefits

No less attention is paid to the requirements of legality in the field of social benefits, which take the form of financial aid and assistance services for people in need, on the basis of the economic and social conditions of the applicants (low incomes, large families, elderly people living alone and needing help with everyday life, etc.).

To this end, in close cooperation with the National Institute of Social Security, the analyses have been further refined in order to detect the positions of those who, by falsely certifying that they meet the legal requirements, have unduly benefited from it, to the detriment of those who were actually entitled to it.

In addition, the current context imposes the need to ensure effective monitoring in the area of social security expenditure, which includes a wide range of measures aimed at protecting workers, including support measures in the form of wage subsidies.
