The "Senior Course"

The actual “Economic-Financial Police Senior Course” - initially known as “Tax Police Senior Course”, from 1972 to 2017 - is a biennial top qualification programme reserved to a very limited number of officers selected through a competitive examination for particularly qualified candidates and based on career titles evaluation and exams.

The course prepares top professionals in all the institutional mission fields and represents the Corps’ best study programme due to the subjects taught, the didactic make up, the teachers’ expertise and the professional and cultural level of the attendees.

During the two-year period of studies, the officers analyse legal, economic, financial, taxation and business subjects that mainly affect the Corps’ mission, as well as leadership, team building, problem solving, communication, human, logistic and financial resources’ management.

Seminars, conferences and study missions in Italy and abroad complete the training programme.

The officers, who successfully attend the course, wear a Minerva’s head badge with laurel and oak leaves on their uniform.
